We Help to Further Empower Woman Entrepreneurs
Today, we take great pride in seeing many bold, determined, and passionate women entrepreneurs making their mark in technology-driven companies that have become some of Türkiye’s leading brands. Although the rapidly increasing number of women entrepreneurs in recent years signals the rise of many new success stories, according to the Türkiye Women Entrepreneurship Index survey conducted by KAGİDER in 2019, Türkiye still lags behind many countries in terms of the proportion of women entrepreneurs compared to men. Can this position be changed? We believe it can — and we are committed to supporting women entrepreneurs both financially and through inspirational, constructive initiatives that help them sustain their presence in the business world. As a pioneering technology provider in payment systems, we work throughout the year on various projects aimed at helping women entrepreneurs adapt to the evolving world of financial technologies and encouraging their active participation in the ecosystem.
Within this framework, Beko aims to increase the number of women in its dealership network by encouraging women entrepreneurs to open Beko stores. Through this project, Beko offers women entrepreneurs several privileges, including mentorship, store selection and decoration support, and rent assistance — providing both financial and moral support. These initiatives aim not only to increase the number of female Beko dealers but also to make women’s entrepreneurial dreams more attainable through accessible resources. As Token, we contribute to this project by leveraging the power of technology to promote social equality. With our advanced hardware and software technologies, the Beko 400 TR, which won a Red Dot Design Award, has been provided to nearly 40 women dealers to date, offering innovative solutions that simplify business operations by combining sales, payment, and e-invoicing capabilities in one Android POS device. Moreover, to ensure that our women dealers stay up to date in the ever-evolving world of payment systems, we provide training programs in financial technologies, one of the most prominent fields shaping the future.
Supporting Women Entrepreneurs with Ülkü Hür!
Believing that the best inspiration to nurture the spirit of women entrepreneurs comes from other women entrepreneurs, we organized the "Let Your Brand Shine" training in collaboration with Ülkü Hür and th Women Entrepreneurs Platform as part of International Women's Day on March 8. Through this program, which supports women entrepreneurs with a focus on education, we emphasized the importance of building a strong brand perception in competitive markets. We also created an online space where passionate women could come together, share experiences, and inspire each other with renewed motivation.
We work to add value to the stories of every woman whose life we touch, contributing to their roadmaps on the journeys toward their dreams. We are proud to support women-led businesses such as İlo Baby, founded by Şeyma Ünal, and Bedes Goodness Store, founded by Alev Tüke Ramazanoğlu, through the provision of Beko 300 TR cash register POS devices. It brings us great joy to know that, thanks to this support, these inspiring entrepreneurs can now securely accept contactless payments in their businesses.
